Privacy policy
Halifresh (“we”, “us”) provides moving, packing and cleaning in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we use it, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect your name, phone number and email address, the communities or addresses you're moving from and to, your move or service date, and the details you share about the work.
If you tick the optional box to receive offers, we record that consent, with the date. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any offer email.
How we use it
To reply to your request, prepare your quote, schedule and deliver the work, and contact you about your booking. Offers and news are sent only if you agreed to them. We do not sell your personal information.
How it's handled
Quote requests go straight into Halifresh's own customer system. It is hosted by our service providers (Vercel for the website, Supabase for the database, Resend for email, Anthropic for the chat assistant) and only Halifresh staff can see your details.
To stop spam, we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address and the date, which can't be turned back into the address.
The move checklist works entirely in your browser. What you type into it is not sent to us or stored.
The chat assistant's replies are written by an AI service (Anthropic). What you type in the chat is sent to it to write the reply; phone numbers and email addresses are removed first, and your name and contact details go only into the request form, never to the AI. When you send a request from the chat, your messages are saved with it so we can prepare your quote.
Your browser remembers, for 30 days, which link or website first brought you here (for example our Google listing), so a quote request can record how you found us. It holds nothing about you personally, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Data retention
We keep customer information for as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our accounting and legal obligations.
